The cheapest Radeon 3870 X2, the card with two RV670XT chips, is currently selling for €280. This is certainly a lot of graphics power for a quite reasonable amount of money. The price of this product dropped almost €120 since the launch, but as you might imagine ATI will have a new faster dual chip card in the next month or two.

This still makes
PowerColor Radeon HD 3870 X2, with 2x 512MB GDDR3, 2x DVI, TV-out, PCIe a very attractive offer as it will cost you €280. The cheapest Geforce 9800 GX2 is still selling for around €400, which is a massive difference; but please bear in mind that GX2 is the faster of the two.

ATI obviously wants to sell out its RV670-based cards before it announces RV770 based products and we suspect that the prices might go down even further, but only slightly.
