Sapphire launches Vapor-X version

In addition to the smallest US $649.99 price Radeon R9 Nano, AMD has also introduced the new US $199 priced Radeon R9 370X, based on Trinidad XT GPU.

While still not listed in Europe or the US and only available in China, the Radeon R9 370X is based on Trinidad XT GPU, which is pretty much a rebadged, and well known Pitcairn GPU, making the R9 370X a re-branded R9 270X, just with slightly higher clocks.

Featuring 1280 Stream Processors, 80 TMUs, 32 ROPs and either 2GB or 4GB of GDDR5 memory paired up with a 256-bit memory interface, this GCN 1.0 chip should provide healthy competition to Nvidia Geforce GTX 950 and GTX 960 graphics cards in that sub $200 market.

The new Radeon R9 370X would probably go unnoticed if Sapphire has not released its two Radeon R9 370X graphics card, both featuring Vapor-X cooling. According to a report from Techpowerup.com, Sapphire's R9 370X Vapor-X will be clocked at close to 1200MHz for the GPU while 2GB or 4GB of memory will end up at 5.6GHz.

The Radeon R9 370X still needs two 6-pin PCI-Express power connectors and feature two DVI, one HDMI and one DisplayPort output.

Unfortunately, there is still no word on when we will see the R9 370X in Europe or the US, but we guess that AMD will flood the market soon.
