Flexible, bendable 3D inputs for holographic gaming, videoconferencing

Researchers at Queen’s University’s Human Media Lab in Canada have developed a flexible, bendable smartphone that uses light-field arrays to create the effects of “motion parallax” and “stereoscopy” to multiple users without the need for VR headsets or glasses. The device was unveiled today at the 2016 ACM CHI conference on Human-Computer Interaction in San Jose, California.
