Asus seem to be the last of the tier one motherboard manufacturers that is activley supporting Nvidia, and the fact that so far we haven't seen any other Geforce 9400 motherboards, this might not be such a bad thing for Asus.

The P5N7A-D/SAS, as the Geforce 9400 model will be known from Asus, has some interesting features besides the chipset as well, as Asus has for some reason integrated a two-port SAS controller onto it.

In terms of connectivity you'll find a PS/2 port, six USB 2.0 ports, a D-sub, HDMI, dual Gigabit Ethernet jacks and 7.1-channel audio. It also appears to have headers for an additional six USB 2.0 ports, two FireWire ports and there's one x16 PCIe 2.0 slot, two x1 PCIe slots and three PCI slots.

The P5N7A-VM is a mATX Geforce 9300 board and it looks like the most feature-rich Geforce 9300 motherboard we've seen so far. Around the back it has a PS/2 port, six USB 2.0 ports, DVI, D-sub, HDMI, FireWire, eSATA and 7.1-channel audio.

On top of this it has a single x16 PCIe 2.0 slot, a x1 PCIe slot and two PCI slots. It also has five SATA ports, as one of the six supported by the chipset is used for eSATA. All in all, these are two quite interesting products if you're set on getting yourself an Nvidia powered Intel board.

It's worth noting that neither board officially supports DDR2 memory at speeds over 800MHz or bus speeds over 1,333MHz, but Asus offers a range of overclocking options.
