Intel has pulled quite a rabbit out of its hat at the Computex 2018 press conference by unveiling and showing a running 28-core consumer CPU which should be available by the end of the year.

40th anniversary with 5.0GHz Turbo

Following the recent leaks and in order to celebrate the 40th anniversary since the release of the original 8086 processor, Intel has now - as expected - introduced the Core i7-8086K, an unlocked 6-core CPU with a base clock of 4.0GHz and Turbo clock hitting 5.0GHz.

Free data for Snapdragon PC/sell 5G in 2019 for Intel

Sprint just made two big announcements one with Qualcomm about its 4G always connected PC and one with Intel for its 2019 5G PCs.

It appears that Intel's 40th anniversary Core i7-8086K CPU won't be that pricy and should sell for under £400 when it starts selling on June 8th, at least according to the latest report.

We've waited years and years for ARM to offer a real challenge to Intel on the notebook front, and judging from what the company announced today in Old Taiwan, 2019 could be when Chipzilla discovers it has an Achilles' heel. Intel isn't invulnerable, despite its size, demonstrated, for example,  by the way it totally missed the boat on the smartphone front.
