TD SYNNEX is working with Qualcomm to spread the word and get ready for the arrival of systems that use the new chips, which, as well as running everyday Windows apps, will have AI under the bonnet. This means that users will not have to rely on cloud-based platforms to use generative AI. Plus, some Qualcomm CPUs will have built-in support for 5G and for WiFi 7.
The company's Endpoint Solutions boss James Reed said: "Qualcomm is set to shake up the market, and thanks to its link-up with TD SYNNEX, our partners can expect to be the first to see new laptops that use their top performance and built-in generative AI. Snapdragon is already a trusted name in the mobile market, and we expect the launch of the new Snapdragon X Elite CPUs to cause a buzz and for customers at all levels to be keen to hear about their skills."
Reed said that there was a lot of interest in the Snapdragon X Elite and his outfit has been putting out the word to make sure that get good levels of stock in advance.
“We think that many of the customers who have been waiting on upgrades in hope of this new wave of AI-ready laptops and PCs coming, will now start to look seriously at their options. In many cases, those upgrades will have been long overdue, and there should be good chances for partners to drive business," he said.
Resellers can use TD SYNNEX's Trade-in services, which offer safe disposal and recycling, to help customers meet their green goals, he added.
"Partners can use our services to quote for trade-in deals on any laptop or mobile device from any maker. As well as making sure all products are fed back into the green economy and do not end up in the bin, trade-ins mean the customer gets a better deal, which makes upgrading even more tempting," he said.
TD SYNNEX will give detailed information on the new Snapdragon X Elite products for partners and will also hold a number of briefing sessions over the next few weeks.
