Inno3D has come up with its vision of a non-reference
GTX 470 card and this one is quite impressive considering the cooler
that Inno3D decided to use.
The new Inno3D GTX 470 Hawk uses a triple slot, triple fan cooler that
should provide some impressive cooling for the GTX 470. After all, we
are quite sure that it could keep up with the GTX 480 as well.
The cooler features two 8mm fans on the sides and one center placed 9mm
fan that runs from 900 to 2,000 RPM. The three PWM fans are paired up
with a total of five heatpipes connected to a large heatsink. According
to Inno3D, the noise level hovers around 18 to 29dBA depending on the
setting and such cooler will surely bring some interesting overclocking
potential for this GTX 470.
The GTX 470 Hawk is up to 22 degrees cooler when compared to the
reference cooler, according to Inno3D's testing. Unfortunately, Inno3D
didn't reveal any details about the card itself and its clocks,
availability date or the price, but we are sure that these will surface
soon.
