No Metal Gear Solid 4 for 360

Written by David Stellmack

Anniversary Edition is PS3 exclusive

While a number of rumors have suggested that the upcoming release of Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition would be released for the Xbox 360, Konami has confirmed that this is simply not the case. The Metal Gear Solid 4: 25th Anniversary Edition release remains a PlayStation 3 exclusive.

The matter was complicated by pictures that appeared to be the Xbox 360 box logo that was photoshopped on to the PlayStation 3 artwork for the game. The photoshopped image started making the rounds, and rumors started of the release of a 360 version.

Konami has once again confirmed that the game remains a PlayStation 3 exclusive, and there are no plans to release Metal Gear Solid 4 on the Xbox 360. Still, it is nice to see these rumors from the past return to the present to haunt us so that we can put them to rest once again.
