Updates across its product range

Cyberlink has released a couple of new updates for its PowerDirector 10, PowerDVD 12, MediaShow 6 and MediaEspresso 6.5 products that feature further optimizations for AMD's second generation A-Series APUs, aka Trinity.

The new updates bring hardware accelerated HD playback, enhanced video editing, maximu rendering and improved transcoding performance. With current performance updates, the PowerDirector 10 brings up to 3.6 times faster video production speed and provides a highly parallel scalable pipeline for many HD tasks with AMD's new Video Codec Engine (VCE) to accelerate the encoding or transcoding of videos.

The PowerDVD 12 is now able to stream videos on-the-fly to portable devices using the same AMD VCE by intelligently converting videos to the right format, while Mediashow 6 uses certain optimizations to create slideshow videos with an "incredible speed".

MediaEspresso 6.5 also got a decent update that accelerates the conversion of standard and HD videos into multiple formats.

Those that manage to snatch a Trinity based notebook, will have to wait for these free updates until June, but it is good to know that they are coming.
