Hyundai Kia Automotive Group recently announced that their cars will feature Microsoft's Automotive Platform by 2010. The same technology is behind the Ford Sync system that lets users integrate MP3 players and cell phones with their cars making phone calls and MP3 selection voice commanded.
There's still no mention of features, but we're expecting it to be similar to Ford Sync.
Hyndai Kia agreement also resulted in an automotive innovation center in Korea, with Korean government as a partner. Apparently, this would result in Korean government initiatives concerning environment and safety, whereas Korean technology companies would get a nice boost in the automobile industry.
