by on10 March 2014

80 PLUS Gold with full modular design

EVGA has now officially announced the members of its SuperNOVA power supply lineup, the 850 G2 and the 750 G2 models. Providing 850W and 750W of power, both new PSUs are 80 PLUS Gold certified and feature a fully modular design.

In addition to the 80 PLUS Gold certification and fully modular desing, both the EVGA 850 G2 and the 750 G2 PSUs use the same 140mm double ball bearing fan with ECO Intelligent Thermal Control which shuts off the fan under low load operation as well as offer single +12V rail design and most, if not all, standard protections.

Both PSUs also offer LLC Resonant Circuit Layout which is full DC to DC design which should aditionally improve efficiency as well as use highest quality Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con solid state capacitors. The EVGA 850 G2 PSU offers up to 70.8A on its +12V rail while the 750 G2 model pumps out 62.4A. Both PSUs also support NVida SLI as they offer up to four PCI-Express power connector outputs.

The new EVGA SuperNova 850 G2 and the 750 G2 are backed by EVGA's 10-year warranty and should be available pretty soon with a suggested price of US $159.99 and US $129.99, respectively.
