Major changes already

Software King of the World Microsoft is planning to release a major upgrade to Windows 10.

The dark satanic rumour mill has manufactured a hell on earth rumour that the operating system will receive a "major update" in November.

Included in the update will be a range of new features. This will include giving the Edge browser extensions, performance enhancements, and a new universal Messaging app for desktop users.

Edge will get support for the WebM open source HTML5 standard through the update. Apparently, Redmond has been working on this for ages.

Windows 10 has found its way to 75 million devices since it began its rollout to PCs in late July and now accounts for around 5 per cent of all desktop web traffic.

The November update has been in the hands of Windows Insiders since mid-August.
