Dell abandons LCD TV production

Getting back to its core

 

 

Dell has decided to abandon its LCD television business to focus on its core PC products.

According to the Chinese-language Economic Daily the move is part of the ongoing company overhaul by founder Michael Dell.

Dell-branded LCD televisions will cease production this month.  The number of Dell televisions is being sold is small.  Most of these are sold Japan and the United States.

There has been no official comment from Dell.
