The British bloke dubbed the Facebook fugitive after he went on the run after killing his ex-girlfriend has been found hanged in Manchester.

George Appleton, 40  used social-networking sites, including Facebook, to meet women, some of whom had some very bad experiences with him. Clare Wood, who went out with him for a while, was found  strangled and burned on February 6, according to the Manchester Evening News. She had recently accused him of sexual assault and had a panic button installed in the house.

After her body was found, police issued a list of sites frequented by and computer usernames associated with Appleton and warned women not to meet him. Appleton's criminal past included three years in jail for harassment with fear of violence related to another woman and had served six months after breaching a restraining order related to a different woman.
