Apple black shirts swoop

The Fruity cargo cult Apple,  has dragged its former minion, Andrew Aude, to court, accusing him of blabbing about more than a handful of the company's secrets.

This includes spilling the beans on the then-hush-hush Journal app and Vision Pro headset, not to mention the firm's product development blueprints, strategies for dodging regulators, and even the number of souls toiling away in their tech temples.

Aude, who hopped on the Apple cart as an iOS software engineer fresh out of uni in 2016, apparently couldn't resist a good gossip.

By April 2023, he's alleged to have nattered away a list of the iPhone's Journal app features to a hack at The Wall Street Journal. And it didn't stop there—over 1,400 messages were sent via Signal to his "Homeboy" journo, and a whopping 10,000 texts to another hackette at The Information. He even trotted across the continent for a chinwag with her.

—Job's Mob claims that Aude's loose lips didn't just sink ships; they torpedoed the company's flair for a dramatic unveiling. They reckon his chit-chat led to at least five news pieces airing their dirty laundry in public.

The tech titan learned of Aude's alleged shenanigans in late 2023 and fired him in December that year.

Now, the focus of attention is the lawsuit, with Apple seeking both financial compensation and a legal reprimand in cash, the amount of which will be determined by the court. They are not content with just the money; Apple appears to want blood.
