Peter Moore, the public face of Microsoft XboX who oversaw the launch of the 360 is leaving Microsoft. He will join Electronic Arts as a head of the EA Sports division.
His position will be filled by Don Mattrick, an EA senior executive who worked as a consultant for Microsoft. Peter Moore will be given $1.5 million as compensation, however we're yet to see whether the deal will prove to be lucrative.
In the past quarter EA reported losses of $25 million, but mostly due to severe reorganisation within the company, which is now split into four divisions in order to become more competitive.
Mr. Moore has quite a resume on him, before Microsoft Mr Moore was president of Sega America and Reebok. His move is due in August and we hope it proves to be smart.
