Not everyone was taking the weekend off for the holiday it seems, as someone at Microsoft obviously had to stay behind and release the new outfit accessories for the Xbox LIVE 360 Avatars.

The new accessories include gear from the game, Dead Space, as well as official NBA and NCAA jerseys. In addition, Dead Space gear features an Isaac outfit as well as a model of the Ishimura.

While we can't say that we are big on all of the sales of the avatar gear, what we can tell you is that it seems that the majority of Xbox 360 users are. According to what we hear, the demand for additional branded and customized avatar accessories is huge, and fans love to express themselves with accessories to make their virtual selves feel just right.

Surprisingly, according to the whispers we hear, sales of the avatar gear are quite strong and have been a very surprising money maker for Microsoft as well as the publishers/developers who have opted to offer the avatar gear. While it only generates a little at a time, the numbers are adding up, according to what we hear, so don't expect this trend to go away anytime soon.
