Battle of Forli downloadable on the 28th.

Finally, after what fans think has been quite a long time, Ubisoft has finally let the cat out of the bag to speak with an actual firm release date for the first downloadable content. The Battle of Forli will arrive later this week, on January 28th to be exact, and of course both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners will be getting it.

The Battle of Forli will carry a price tag of 320 Microsoft Points (or about $3.99 for Xbox 360 owners), while PlayStation 3 owners will pay a standard $3.99 to download it. As we told you previously, Ubisoft is planning a lot of additional content for Assassin’s Creed 2 players with rumors within the community suggesting that it could take as much as 1GB of hard disk space to store all of the downloadable content, should you choose to buy it all.

The next downloadable content pack, called Bonfire of the Vanities, is still on track for a February’s release, but an exact release date has yet to be announced although our sources claim that it will likely arrive toward the end of the month.
