Blackrock Studios has released a demo for the destruction/game show racer Split/Second as an exclusive for Xbox Live Gold subscribers starting today. The downloaded, the game demo checks in at a little over 800MB. The eagerly awaited game from the same studio as Pure has been the subject of much talk, as the game boasts impressive visuals combined with a unique concept that should make this title a winner.

While Xbox Live Gold subscribers will enjoy an exclusive demo release till May 11th, PlayStation 3 users will see the demo drop for their system prior to the release of the game at retail on May 21st. When released, the game will be available for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC platforms. No word on if PC users can expect a demo, but we suspect that the PC demo will likely arrive sometime after the game is released.
