Gran Turismo 5: Spec II is coming

by on02 December 2011

Will not have to wait that long

Sony and developer Polyphony Digital are giving Gran Turismo 5 an update. The updated version will be called Gran Turismo 5: Spec II. It is set to arrive in February in Japan, but it is unclear if it will be released in both North America and Europe. Sources tell us that right now there are no plans for a European release, but North America might still be possible.

Spec II is actually the Gran Turismo 5 title with the Online Version 2.00 update that was released back in October. In addition, it comes with a download code for the “Complete Pack” of downloadable content, which sold for about $20, if we remember correctly. The Complete Pack adds two additional tracks and 15 cars plus some other additional goodies.

The Spec II version (because of the addition of the “Compete Pack” downloadable content) makes this $65 offering not such a bad deal. Perhaps the best news is that, unlike the initial release of Gran Turismo 5, we will not have to wait that long for it to arrive.
