The fastest one for Apple

EVGA has rather quietly launched its Geforce GTX 285 Mac Edition graphics card, the fastest one that Mac Pro workstation users can get their hands on.

The new GTX 285 Mac edition card is pretty much identical to its PC counterpart as it still uses the same PCI-Express interface and has the same PCB and cooler. The card runs at 648MHz for the core, 1476MHz for shaders and 2484MHz for the 1GB of GDDR3 memory coupled with a 512-bit memory interface.

It comes with two dual-link DVI outputs and features OpenGL 3.0 acceleration. This new card comes with two years of warranty and is now on sale for US $449.99 which is priced some US$10 higher than the 2GB GTX 285 FTW for the PC. We guess that Mac always had its price.
