Gainward readies 2GB GTX 460

by on02 August 2010

Slightly overclocked

Gainward seems keen to follow in Sparkle’s footsteps and launch one of the first GTX 460 cards with 2GB of memory.

However, unlike Sparkle, Gainward decided to overclock the new card to 700MHz. Granted, this isn’t much of an overclock considering the reference clock is 675MHz, but you do get the same cooler as on Gainward’s GS GHL card, which is clocked at 800MHz. In other words, there should be plenty of headroom for overclocking.

The memory is clocked at 1800MHz and the card packs two DVI outputs, as well as HDMI and VGA ports. All in all it looks like a rather interesting card, provided it ends up priced right.
