Nvidia pushes out new updates for GeForce GTX 1080

WHQL are you?

Nvidia has released a new update which gives WHQL-certified support for the company's GeForce GTX 1080.

For most people, who are only interested in driver updates if it makes their games work better this is probably pretty meaningless, in fact it is the same driver that Nvidia released last week. In fact if you don't have a 1080 it's probably not worth updating over 368.22.But it does have some cool stuff if you are looking beyond the immediate games needs.

Besides supporting the GTX 1080 it has new VRWorks features which were introduced with the GTX 1080 including Lens Matched Shading, which adjusts the viewport to better match the lenses of a VR system, and Single Pass Stereo to improve performance when rendering to the headset's two viewports.

In terms of compatibility the drivers can be installed on Windows 7, 8, 8.1, and 10 configurations, running either 32- or 64-bit variants. Not  Vista of course Pascal architecture will not touch that with a barge pole, which is fair enough really. Anyone splashing out on a GTX 1080 is hardly going to run Microsoft's most hated operating system – particularly when it is out-of-date.
