ATI shipped zero

Sources close to Nvidia confirmed that the company shipped over 3.5 million DirectX 10 cards. The introduction of the Geforce 8600, 8500 and 8400 certainly helped Nvidia to boost the numbers.

Nvidia is sitting alone in the DirectX 10 market and ATI is about to join them next week with its high end part, only six+ months late.

ATI won't have any real quantities of its DirectX 10 parts until late June, while Nvidia is happily selling its parts as we speak. Even the production of the once troublesome G86 low end chips has been ramped up. The only thing both camps now need are DirectX 10 games.
