Gemini is dual 2600XT

Gecube continues its Gemini project. Gemini is a single PCB with dual GPU graphic card or simply, Crossfire on a single card.

The Gemini 3 has two Radeon HD 2600 XT GPU's and up to 1 Gb of memory. This is also the first DirectX 10 dual GPU solution. As we mentioned before, it has two RV630XT GPU's clocked at 800MHz. The memory is unfortunately just GDDR2 but it comes clocked at 1.0GHz on a 128bit memory bus. You will be able to choose 512MB or 1GB versions. We've seen this card back at Computex and it was up and running even then.

Like the rest of the Radeon HD 2000 series this card also supports DirectX 10 and Shader Model 4.0. the card comes with a total of four dual-link DVI's. The famous UVD is also supported. It is interesting that this card supports Quad Crossfire with four GPU's, but the performance of such a concept really depends on the drivers.

The recommended price for the 1GB version is USD$279.00+ while the 512MB version will cost around $259.00+. Gecube HD2600XT X2 Gemini 3 might have a bright future, but we will have to wait to see some performance results.
