Backpack PC

MSI has been showing Computex in Taipei, the company's latest Backpack PC which gives you the chance to have VR on the go.

The 5kg-ish Backpack PC is carried around like a normal backpack. MSI then uses HTC's Vive, though the company says the system is also compatible with other VR devices, such as the Oculus Rift.

The Backpack PC has a battery life of around one and a half hours. If the processor load is light enough, the device should be able to last for five hours without a charge.

MSI says it plans to make the retail version under 5kg. It will likely also launch with the latest Nvidia GTX 1080.

It will be released in the later half of this year and no one was talking about price. In fact most people were talking about the weight of the thing. We can’t see what they are complaining about. Roman legionaries had to run with 20kg packs and fight a battle at the end of it.

The Backpack as a sixth generation Intel Core i7 processor, Nvidia GTX 1080 graphic card, 16GB RAM, and SSD.
