Sony unveils a list of Nougat-loving devices

by on24 August 2016

Xperia... Sony has heard about the English language....

Following most other smartphone manufacturers which have released partial lists of devices that will be graced with Google's latest Android 7.0 Nougat OS, Sony has also "unveiled" its own negligee like list of devices.

The list from Sony's official blog includes a total of eight smartphones and a single tablet, which is still more than we heard from other manufacturers. HTC has already confirmed that three of its smartphones will be getting the Nougat "negligee" experience while Samsung only mentioned the Galaxy Note 7, which it might get to in two to three months.

The list includes Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra and Xperia X Performance as well as the Xperia Z4 Tablet. That's an awful lot of Xperias.

Sony did not exclude some other devices and didn't talk about them so maybe the list will even be expanded in the future, but for now, these nine devices are confirmed. Unfortunately, Sony didn't give a precise release date.
