Xiaomi Mi Note 2 is officially out

by on25 October 2016

Looks like a Galaxy Note 7 replacement

Dual curved speed, 5.7 inch QHD OLED display, Snapdragon 821, 6GB RAM and 22.5-megapixel camera sound like a decent replacement for the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phones.

Xiaomi just announced the phone and it comes with 64GB Storage and 4GB RAM selling for 2,799 Juan ($415) and 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage for 3,299 Yuan or $485. There will be a global market version with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage that etails for 3,499 Yuan or $515.

This is quite affordable for UFS 2.0 storage, huge amounts of RAM and even a camera supporting EIS, 4K video stabilization and 22.56-megapixel resolution using Sony IMX 318. The front camera comes with sufficient 8 megapixels supporting autofocus, NFC. The phone plays 24 bit / 192 kHz audio, comes with a Quick Charge 3.0 and 4070 mAh battery.

The curved, 3D screen, the form factor and the same 5.7 inch resolution will help you feel like owning a Note 7 phone, at least the one that wont burst in the flames. We have spent some times with many Xiaomi phones including Xiaomi Mi5 and we were quite happy with it.

The Snapdragon 821 seems to be a popular choice for many China based manufacturers this year and it will only get things faster until we land the Snapdragon 830 phones in early 2016.
