Three of them Phenom X3's

Once again AMD has dropped the price on several of its processor models, although this time most of them only got a minor drop in price of between eight and 10 percent. Three of the five are Phenom X3's, with one being a Phenom II X4 and one being an Athlon X2.

Starting from the bottom up, the Athlon X2 7750 has dropped from US$66 to $60, the Phenom X3 8450 has gone down from $81 to $74, the Phenom X3 8650 from $86 to $79, the Phenom X3 8750 from $122 to $90, which is also the biggest drop in percent and finally the Phenom II X4 940 which has been reduced from $225 to $195.

This is not a huge surprise, as Intel just dropped the price on some of its quad core models and introduced the Core 2 Quad Q8400 which was given a better price point than the Phenom II X4 940 which is a directly competing product. The Phenom II X4 940 is still some $11 more expensive than the Core 2 Quad Q8400, so it'll be interesting to see which is the better performer.
