Officially coming to the market in August, AMD Ryzen Pro lineup offers better security, dependability and general reliability, things that are quite important to the business market and where Intel has reigned supreme with its vPro lineup.

AMD has launched a total of six different Ryzen Pro CPUs, all of which have pretty much the same specifications as their desktop/non-Pro counterparts. The lineup includes two Ryzen 7 Pro CPUs, the 1700X and the 1700, two Ryzen 5 Pro CPUs, the 1600 and 1500 and two Ryzen 3 CPUs, the 1300 and the Ryzen 3 1200.

Offering up to eight-cores and 16-threads, up to 3.7GHz Boost, up to 20MB of L2+L3 cache and AMD's SenseMI technology, the Ryzen 7 Pro delivers up to 62 percent more multi-threaded performance compared to the competing products, at least according to AMD.

The main selling points of the Ryzen Pro lineup are the security, which includes silicon-level security with hardware-based cryptographic and security technologies; dependability, which provides commercial-grade quality and reliability with 18 months image stability and 24 months processor availability.

According to AMD, Ryzen Pro-based PCs for businesses should be available in the second half of this year.
