AMD clarifies Ryzen 5 7500F availability

by on26 July 2023

China-only, only for system integrators in the rest of the world

AMD has released a statement clarifying the availability of its new Ryzen 5 7500F SKU, a 6-core Zen 4 CPU that comes without integrated graphics. Apparently, it will be available on retail/e-tail shelves only in China, while other regions will only get it via system integrators.

The Ryzen 5 7500F is a rather interesting SKU, as it is the least expensive Ryzen 7000 series SKU, has slightly lower clocks compared to the Ryzen 5 7600, and does not feature integrated graphics. While earlier reports suggested it could be a China-only SKU, Andreas Schilling from Hardwareluxx.de managed to get a brief statement from AMD's spokesman in Germany, stating that it will indeed be available in greater China as a processor-in-box. The rest of the world will get it as an option with select system builders.

AMD could introduce more such SKUs if the Ryzen 5 7500F turns out to be popular, so hopefully we will see more such processors on the market.
