Asus unveils new ROG Strix XG27WCS gaming monitor

With 27-inch VA panel, 1440p resolution, and 180Hz refresh rate

Asus has unveiled yet another ROG Strix series gaming monitor, the 27-inch ROG Strix XG27WCS, featuring a curved VA panel with 1440p resolution and 180Hz refresh rate.

According to pictures and details provided by Asus, the ROG Strix XG27WCS definitely aims at gamers with its 180Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time, as well as the design that should fit well with the rest of Asus ROG Strix lineup. The 1500R curved 27-inch "Fast VA" panel is coated with a non-glare coating, has 2560x1440 resolution, 400nits of maximum brightness, contrast ratio of 3,000:1, 1ms GTG response time, covers 95% of DCI-P3 gamut, has HDR10 support, and uses Adaptive Sync technology with 48Hz to 180Hz range over DisplayPort.

In addition, it also supports AMD FreeSync, has USB Type-C, DisplayPort 1.4, and HDMI 2.0 ports, and gets some Asus' gaming-oriented features like GameVisual settings, GamePlus, Trace Free, Variable Overdrive 2.0, Dynamic Shadow Boost, and Dynamic Crosshair.

It also comes with an ergonomic adjustable stand with tilt, swivel, and height adjustments, as well as supports VESA 100x100 mount.

The Asus ROG Strix XG27WCS should be coming to the market soon with a price of around $300, according to Tomshardware.com.
