The dark satanic rumour mill has manufactured a hell-on-earth yarn claiming that Nvidia is cooking up something nastier than an RTX 5090.
According to Overclocking during recent visits and private chats with certain brands, three separate leakers hinted at a new RTX landing in 2026. The noise initially sounded like it might be about “SUPER”, then the market mess and soaring memory prices made it easy to forget, until last week.
On a separate trip to Asia, an OCC team member heard the same tune from different mouths, only with more bite, because they pointed to a reference positioned above the current RTX 5090.
A mostly blurred photo of an Nvidia Titan RTX did the rounds in January 2025 in a piece talking up the possible existence of an RTX 50 Titan. That old breadcrumb is now being dragged back into the light as talk shifts towards an RTX 50 Titan or a 5090 Ti.
Before anyone starts yelling forum fantasy, the sources here are described as direct, credible contacts rather than a mate of a mate of someone’s cousin they met in a pub. The hesitation to publish is easy to understand because Nvidia has every incentive to shove its best silicon into AI, not into a halo card for gamers.
There is the awkward bit where these people are likely tied up with NDAs, and nobody wants to be the reason someone gets a visit from Nvidia’s m ’learned friends. Add the matter of the industry taking the mick out of MLID’s “revelations”, and you can see why this was left to fester.
Still, when five to six leakers across different countries, companies and roles start humming the same melody, it becomes more than a forum rumour. It lines up with a shift in Nvidia’s behaviour in recent weeks, with brands being cut looser on high-end RTX 50 design constraints.
ASUS, MSI and others have been rolling out extreme cards with unbridled BIOS settings, apparently with Nvidia’s blessing. That casts the appearance of Nvidia’s GeForce leadership at MSI’s Lightning Z launch at CES in a different light.
The claimed target is the start of the third quarter of 2026, aligned with Back-to-School timing, with industrial work already underway on design and related steps. Crucially, the chatter insists it has nothing to do with “SUPER”, which is said to be off the 2026 calendar for now.
Nvidia can change its mind fast, and it has form for sudden pivots, so nobody sensible is carving this into stone tablets. The same sources suggest a limited release, with Founders Edition priority, which is exactly the sort of move Nvidia makes when it wants to flex without committing to volume.
