Only 10 million of those on Xbox One & PS4 consoles
When we talk about impressive sales numbers they are in the millions. When we talk about the sales of the big titles it in the tens of millions.
According to the latest reports from Take-Two Interactive, they have sold-in (or shipped) 45 million copies of Grand Theft Auto 5.
Those are some impressive numbers when you consider that back in October they had only sold-in 34 million units. Then came the next generation versions of the game for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Take Two says that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game have only accounted for 10 million of the 45+ million sold-in. Take-Two and developer Rockstar claim that the online version has exceeded their expectations and it has over 24 million players.
The long awaited Heists add-on is still coming and it will still be free. We still don’t know when it will be released, but we know they are working on it.
