Someone scored a $10k card
Some lucky bloke or lass downloaded the 50 billionth iOS app late last night, winning a $10,000 gift card, courtesy of Cupertino.
The winner has not been announced yet, but should be informed quite soon. Last year Apple pulled a similar stunt, when a Chinese consumer downloaded the 25 billionth app. It took Apple just over a year to double the number of app downloads.
However, Android is not far behind. It boasts more than 48 billion downloads and it should hit 50 in a matter of weeks.
