At its GDC 2026 Geforce ON update, Nvidia has announced that its DLSS 4.5 Dynamic Multi Frame Generation will launch on March 31st. In case you missed it, this allows Geforce 50-series graphics cards based on Blackwell architecture to dynamically adjust the Multi Frame Generation (MFG) DLSS rate.
As announced back in January, the Dynamic Multi Frame Generation and 6X Multi Frame Generation promise much higher frame rates in path-traced titles with DLSS 4.5. It basically upgrades the current DLSS 4 4X Mode to 6X MFG and dynamically switch between multipliers in order to provide a perfect balance between frame rate, image quality, and responsiveness.
In terms of performance, this increases 4K frame rates in path-traced titles by up to 35 percent, making 240+ FPS path-traced gaming possible on Geforce RTX 50 series GPUs, according to Nvidia.
Nvidia promises that games supporting DLSS 4.5 are coming soon, and some titles include 007 First Light, STAR WARS: Galactic Racer, CONTROL Resonant, Gray Zone Warfare, Directive 8020, and more.
