Overclocking here to stay
Intel's next
generation 32nm architecture, scheduled for 2011, will continue to support Turbo
overclocking. This goes for both desktop and mobile processors and this
is not something that will surprise most of you.
Furthermore Huron River,
the mobile platform based on Sandy
Bridge architecture, is
also going to bet a lot on the next generation Turbo overclocking. This technology can give quite an impressive speed bump and at the same time it can
save you some battery life when you don’t need much performance.
As we said
before the new Sandy Bridge CPU is expected to be some 20 percent faster than Arrandale
CPUs, at least in one application.
The launch
date is still Q1 2011.
