Display link can add 10 displays via USB

If you have that many USBs

Last week we had a chance to meet with
Display link a nice English company who is making the USB chips for
monitors. These guys can even make a wireless USB monitor possible at
some point but this is yet to come.

What we've seen now is the Vista
drivers installed in the flash of the LG display. The previous
limitation was six displays and now with Vista driver for Displaylink
chips you can use up to 10 displays. We believe that nine is the
magical number as with 3×3 you can create a very nice video wall.

The scenario for an average Joe is
rather simple. You plug your USB display in your notebook / PC and it
works. You can add up as many displays as you want up to 10 and the
technology behind it is really plug and play easy.

Samsung and LG are two vendors with two
displays out that supports USB display link chip and we hope to get a
chance to try this LG display very soon in our own testing
environment.

This is how this display work on Dell notebook and now it can play video under Vista.
