Noise-cancellation headphones
Creative has announced its new HN-900 and Aurvana X-Fi 2 headphones, both of which boast active noise cancellation and Creative’s proprietary techs X-Fi Crystalizer and X-Fi CMSS-3D.
The company claims that HN-900 headphones can reduce ambient noise by up to 85 percent, with about 40 hours of noise-cancellation on a single AAA alkaline battery. We’re a bit confused though as to how the company calculated that -18dB constitutes an 85 percent noise decrease. Namely, -18dB would make up for almost 200 percent, if not even higher by some calculations, but that’s probably irrelevant for most.
The HN-900 come with an in-line microphone and one-click voice communication on the iPhone. The headphones have 40mm Neodymium drivers and gold-plated plugs. Creative’s HN-900 are available and go for $99.99.

Creative says that its Aurvana X-Fi 2 headphones reduce ambient noise by up to 90 percent, which is -20dB according to Creative. They also come with 40mm Neodymium drivers and gold plated plugs, in a slightly more exclusive package.
They should hit the market in February 2012 with MSRP of $199.99.
