Acer has expanded its handheld gaming lineup with the new Predator Atlas 8, a Windows 11-based gaming handheld powered by Intel’s latest Arc G-Series platform and designed to deliver PC-class gaming performance in a portable form factor.
The Predator Atlas 8 can be configured with Intel’s new Arc G3 Extreme processor alongside up to Intel Arc B390 graphics, bringing support for ray tracing and Intel XeSS 3 AI upscaling technology. Acer says the handheld is designed to balance performance and battery efficiency, pairing the hardware with an up to 80 Wh battery and Intel Endurance Gaming technology for extended gaming sessions on the go.
The new handheld is built around an 8-inch WUXGA touchscreen display with up to 500 nits brightness and a 120Hz refresh rate, with support for Variable Refresh Rate. The screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus with DXC coating to improve scratch resistance and reduce glare.
Acer put a lot of effort into cooling with the new Predator AeroBlade cooling. The system uses a dual-fan airflow with what Acer describes as the first metal fan used in a gaming handheld, featuring ultra-thin 0.1 mm blades designed to improve airflow and thermal efficiency under load.
Connectivity and the rest of the features include dual Thunderbolt 4 ports, Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, dual speakers, and UHS-II microSD expansion. Acer also confirmed support for Xbox Game Pass and Windows 11 Xbox Mode.
Acer says the Predator Atlas 8 will launch in North America, EMEA, and Australia starting in October 2026, and it will surely be Acer’s star at the upcoming Computex show.
