HP is going down

Acer has been working hard to get where they are today – comfortably sitting behind HP and being the world’s second top notebook vendor. However, the company doesn’t plan on stopping and has vowed to become number one before the year ends.

The Wall Street Journal corroborates this, as Gartner’s numbers show that Acer’s global notebook shipments in Q1 have already overtaken HP, which means there are only three quarters to go before the brave runners-up become the leaders.

It appears that Acer has been faring pretty well and some sales have been better than expected. The company expects revenue to grow by 10-15% between this and the next quarter, and it seems like it’s great being Acer these days.
