Asus used Computex 2026 to turn Republic of Gamers’ 20th anniversary into a full-scale hardware parade, rolling out everything from limited-edition RTX 5090 systems to gold-accented chairs, routers, peripherals, and even luggage, with some of those, like the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 motherboard and ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20, being the stars of the show.
The company branded the whole thing “Edition 20,” a special anniversary lineup wrapped in a black-and-gold design theme that stretched across nearly every major ROG product category. While some might not fit into the theme and are more collector-style products, there were several genuinely high-end enthusiast products.
As said, one of the stars of the show was the ROG Crosshair X870E Edition 20 motherboard, paired with a custom Ryujin Edition 20 liquid cooler. Asus is pushing an integrated cooling approach here, with the cooler handling both CPU and VRM thermals through a large copper contact design and Asetek’s not only latest pump hardware, but rather a completely special version that Asetek calls Emma [Gen10] V3Rx. The board also supports up to nine M.2 drives and features dual AMOLED displays built into the setup for system monitoring and animated effects.
Graphics cards also got the anniversary treatment, including the flashy ROG Astral GeForce RTX 5090 Edition 20. Asus surrounded the card with the same anniversary styling seen across the lineup, mixing translucent design elements with metallic gold accents that looked more like a luxury showcase than gaming hardware. It comes with dual-power input via its detachable GC-HPWR adapter, curved AMOLED screen, and almost every high-end feature that you might want in a special edition version.
The company also brought a limited-edition ROG G1000 desktop fitted with holographic cooling fans and support for RTX 5090 graphics. Asus says the system uses a tri-zone airflow design, and the machine ended up taking one of Computex’s Best Choice Golden Awards. Smaller systems were not ignored either. The compact ROG NUC 16 Edition 20, which manages to squeeze in an RTX 5090 Laptop GPU into a 3-liter chassis, while the ROG Ally X20 handheld bundle combines a redesigned handheld with AR glasses in a translucent anniversary-themed finish.
Asus clearly wanted this year’s Computex appearance to feel bigger than a normal product launch. After 20 years of ROG, the company seems less interested in showing individual components and more focused on presenting the entire ecosystem around the brand.
