€599 with 32GB storage
The latest addition to Asus's highly successful Eee series of notebooks has popped up on a few e-tail sites this morning, here.
The Eee PC S101 is a stylish netbook for fashion conscious consumers, although under its sleek shell it's still just a netbook. It packs an Atom CPU, 945GC chipset, 10.2-inch screen and 1 gig of memory. The only thing that sets it apart from other similarly specced netbooks is the storage: 16GB SSD and a 16GB SD card.
Like most fashion products, the S101 is overpriced, ending up at €599 for the 32GB version. We just can't call this a great value for money, nobody can; but it's the best looking netbook around and we're sure Asus will send loads of them, even at this price.
Retailers expect to have the S101 in stock late November.
