Working with HTC and Samsung
Telco Clearwire is working with HTC and Samsung on 4G
devices that will carry its brand.
Apparently the outfit wants something different than then
EVO 4G, which will be flogged by Sprint later this summer. William Morrow, CEO of Clearwire said the outfit will be
flogging two 4G WiMax handsets by the end of the year.
He said that the company was working with Samsung on an
Android-based device optimized for heavy video communications that use the high
capacity, low latency, high-speed characteristic of the Clearwire network.
In addition, the outfit is working with HTC on a second
3G/4G/WiFi-enabled phone.
