Thanks to carbon Nano-Tubes

Samsung and Unidym have built the world’s first carbon nanotube-based color active matrix electrophoretic display (EPD) e-paper.

The color e-paper was demonstrated on a 14.3-inch display and uses a carbon nanotube (CNT) transparent electrode developed by Unidym. According to a press release CNTs are tubular cylinders of carbon atoms that have electrical, mechanical, optical, thermal and chemical characteristics.

CNTs can conduct electricity better than copper and are stronger than steel. The company also mentions that the EPD has important advantages over conventional flat panel displays because they have much lower power consumption and bright light readability.
