Three motherboards for starters
Following Intel’s launch of the Skylake platform, EVGA has announced its lineup which includes a total of three Intel Z170 chipset based motherboards.
The list starts with an E-ATX form-factor flagship motherboard, the Z170 Classified 4-way, which should offer best overclocking experience. Featuring an 8-layer PCB and 8-phase VRM, as well as plenty of overclocking-friendly features, the Z170 Classified 4-Way has four PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots (in x16, x16, x8, x8 configuration), four DIMM memory slots with support for up to 64GB of DDR4-3200 memory, eight SATA 6Gbps ports, two SATA Express ports, two M.2 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports, integrated 5.1-channel Creative Sound Core3D audio, two USB 3.1, eight USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports.
The rest of the specifications as well as overclocking features include EVGA’s full UEFI BIOS, EVGA E-LEET X Tuning utility, onboard power, reset and clear CMOS buttons, onboard CPU temp monitor, EZ Voltage read points, Triple BIOS support and PCIe Disable Switches.
The next in line is a bit cheaper and budget oriented EVGA Z170 FTW motherboard with a standard ATX form-factor, more modest 6-layer PCB, 5-phase VRM, and quite less features. It comes with four PCI-Express slots (x16,x8+x4+x1), four DIMM memory slots with support for up to 64GB of DDR4-3200+ memory, six SATA 6Gbps ports, one M.2 port, single Intel Gigabit Ethernet, eight USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports and 7.1-channel Realtek audio.

The EVGA Z170 FTW will still pack on-board power, reset and clear CMOS buttons and on-board CPU Temp monitor, but lack all the high-end features seen on the Z170 Classified 4-Way motherboard.
The third motherboard on the list is quite an interesting beast based on mini-ITX form factor, the EVGA Z170 Stinger. It does not pack all the high-end features like the previous two, but lets you run Intel’s 6th generation Core Skylake LGA1151 CPUs in a small case. It comes with two DIMM memory slots with support for up to 32GB of DDR4-3200+ memory, single PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slot, has four SATA 6Gbps ports, single M.2 slot, eight USB 3.0 and two USB 2.0 ports and 7.1-channel Realtek HD audio.
All three motherboards are already available over at EVGA’s webshop with a price set at US $399.99 for the EVGA Z170 Classified 4-way, US $219.99 for the EVGA Z170 FTW and US $199.99 for the EVGA Z170 Stinger.
