Cutesy and overpriced
Fujitsu has launched a new netbook, to augment and possibly replace its black and white, art decoish FSC Amilo Mini Ui3520.
The new LOOX, well looks a lot better, almost as if it wasn't designed
by Fujitsu designers, whose creations usually look like a piece of Eastern
Block, Vietnam-era military kit. The specs are netbook-typical: N270,
945GSE, 1GB of RAM, 160GB of storage.
Unfortunately, Fujitsu is pricing it at just under ¥60k in Japan, which
translates to just over $600. The designers did do a pretty good job,
especially compared to the old Amilo Mini, but $600 is too much for any
Atom-based machine.
