Not 55nm or 65nm chip related
We finally found out an interesting detail about Hybrid power. Many have believed that Hybrid power is a feature of Geforce 9 cards and that it's related to 55nm chips, but it looks like it is an optional feature that add-in board partners can enable, even on 65nm versions of G92 chips.
We were informed that all 9800GT products regardless of process technology can have HybridPower support, if the vendor chooses to add the feature. It is up to the partner to determine weather they want to implement it or not; and currently, we are not aware if adding Hybrid power costs AIB partners some additional money.
HybridPower is an optional feature made available with the introduction of 9800 GT products.
