It was its worst nightmare
We were checking some of our notes from
IDF and we found an interesting comment made by Molly Eden, one of the
key notebook people at Intel, concerning AMD mobile plans .
Eden had confirmed that Intel
feared that Barcelona will be a notebook part, at least its dual core
iteration, and worked really hard to make a solution that could fight
this. At the end when Intel realized that all AMD has to fight in
mobiles is Griffin an updated version of K8 core it realized that AMD
doesn't have any chance in 2008 against mobile Penryn.
I guess that AMD definitely need to
wake up when it comes to notebooks as this is the company's big
chance.
