Kal-El shows up in Beijing

Running in ZTE T98 tablet

Nvidia’s Kal-El has only been seen running in reference tablets, at least until now, as ZTE has apparently showed its Kal-El powered T98 7-inch tablet at PT/Expo Comm in China.

The T98, as ZTE calls it, is powered by a Kal-El processor at 1.3GHz clock (slightly lower than the 1.5GHz reference one). The device runs Android 3.2 OS and has 1GB of memory, all inside a 7-inch 1280×800 11.5mm thick case. It packs a 5 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front cam, 16GB of storage, 3G modem and a 4000mAh battery.

Unfortunately, there have been no details regarding price, actual release date or any other info for that matter, but it is nice to see that Tegra 3 managed to find its way into some other device rather than those reference/demo tablets we saw before.
